Mary Magdelene

December 7th, 2009

MarywithSpikenardMary Magdalene was not somebody who I gave much thought to a few years ago. Never having read the bible, my only understanding of her was that she was a prostitute who Jesus helped to rid of demons! Pretty basic, & untrue, but that seems to be the case for many people who just hear what the church has to say, so I thought I would add a little taster to tantalize your thirst to search for the truth about her. As, once aligned with the truth about who she really is, she can become a powerful ally in your life.

Recently, during an interview, a film crew asked what I remember of my first OBE (out of body) experiences after my NDE (near death experience) & I told them about finding myself in a room on another dimension, about how the door opened, & many people came in. I tried to close the door, but more poured through & I was sat down at the head of a large table. It was explained to me that I was to help bring the truth to light about Mary Magdalene, & reveal what the church has hidden. Although I am not religious, I felt that this was an important mission. Who was I to argue with a bunch of serious looking beings on a higher dimension!?

Green Aura

Whilst I mentioned this memory to the two film makers they independently they saw me surrounded by green light. The interviewer almost found it hard to concentrate on the questions as the light remained, especially around my hands. At the end of filming they were amazed to discover the phenomena was witnessed by both of them. Just by talking about her in this way seemed to create an energy field. She must have been present & pleased to be acknowledged in her true light!Put back in her rightful place.

Bride in Exile

This is what has prompted me to mention this subject today. She was such a powerful & important woman in history who has been maligned. I believe everything happens for a reason, so there are no victims, it is simply her rightful time to be honoured as Jesus’ wife. If you are at all interested in the truth about her I suggest you read, The Goddess in the Gospels, The woman with the Alabaster Jar, or Mary Magdalene, Bride in Exile all written by Margaret Starbird. Tom Kenyon also has a wonderful book called The Magdalene Manuscripts which he claims to have channeled.  Many other writers & researches are well aware of the truth about MM, they have thoroughly researched the bible & found the anomalies which give us many clues to Marys relationship with Jesus. Kathleen McGowan has written a kind of Da Vinci Code genre book called The Expected One which offers more insight into Marys Gospel, although I’m not sure how much artistic license she has taken, its a page turner though, & the first of a trilogy. Taking into account all the research, there are so many pointers to their divine union, its seems amazing that the chinese whispers of Mary being a prostitute have been so readily believed by so many.

A pregnant Mary Magdalene

A picture paints a thousand words, so I wont go on any longer, but show you something I found the other day which I thought amazing. Jesus with a pregnant Mary Magdalene in a stain-glass window from a church in Scotland. Jesus&MaryMagdalene

And this is what is said on the site where I found the image;

“This striking stained glass window shows a young man portrayed with the usual features attributed to Jesus (including the traditional Nazarite central parting of the hair) with a halo above his head, holding hands with a woman without a halo. The woman can clearly be seen to be portrayed pregnant with her girdle painted below her abdomen rather than around her waist. The key to the identity of this woman is made plain by the gospel text which appears immediately below the pregnant woman. It reads: “Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her“. This statement, made by Christ himself, which directly relates to Mary Magdalene, sometimes referred to as Mary of Bethany, can be found in the Gospel of Luke, ch.10, v.42.”

Kilmore Church, Scotland

This is the churchkilmore church where the stain-glass is. I wonder what the locals think? Magda means tower, so its interesting that the church has a strange tower. If anyone knows any more about the church & the window, let me know. Meanwhile I’m about to start reading,” I remember Union” by Flo Aeveia for to further my personal research. It feels on-going for me.

Spikenard

If anyone is wishing to connect to Mary Magdalene you could try using Spikenard. Its the oil that she would use to anoint with. She was, after, a high priestess. It comes from the root of a Himalayan plant, & I discovered it is very powerful for working with releasing the bonds of unforgiveness & connecting with the angels of potentiality.  She anointed Jesus’ feet, as in the famous painting at the top of the blog. She also anointed his whole body in the tomb after he came off the cross. Sometimes its referred to as Nard in the bible. I get my supply from Egypt, its sweet smelling, & I use it to meditate or just for perfume. It fills the air with a divine aroma.

153 as her divine number

On another note, I have discovered that the number sacred to her as is detailed in the book Magdalene’s Lost Legacy, also by Margaret Starbird is 153. The book gives us an understanding of Gematria, a system of asigning numerical value to words or phrases. Lost Legacy helps to put Mary M back on the map with this ancient system.  If you become aware of this number in any way, on a number plate of a car, on a receipt or in your inner vision, you know that you are in alignment with Mary Magdalene & the Divine Feminine.

imagesHave you felt Marys presence, or have any interesting information about her? does 153 pop up for you? leave a message & lets anchor her wise & powerful  healing presence in the here & now.

    Hello Petal,

I too have been researching Mary Magdalene after she came to me in a vision… until that point I didn’t know much about her either. She anointed me and blessed me by kissing me on my forehead. From this point on I have been searching for the truth about her.
It is clear a huge cover up of much of the bible has taken place… approximately 72 books were taken out of the bible by the roman catholic church some from the old testament and some from the new about 400 century ad … so the bibles which are available to the public have been manipulated by the agenda of the elite and the popes for power over the people especially the king James authorised version. The Ethiopian bible however left the area before this time and has many of the older books in it. Before this time many true followers of Jesus Christ were crucified and tortured burnt at the stake and named heretics …
not surprising as Jesus Christ’s message of empowerment was about sovereignty… as brothers and sisters to Jesus Christ aligned with our authentic self we are also sons and daughters of God and there is no greater authority … what use is a government if we remember our birthright … imagine that 20 billion leaders on the planet!!

    Oh Peta!!

Since I met you in Thailand, I have been enchanted by Mary Magdelene. While visiting family in Louisiana, a relic of MM’s traveled into town. I went to the church and experienced a peaceful, tranquil energy in her presence. Days later, I contacted a great aunt for the first time who told me she had been thinking for days of her mother (my great grandmother) as the following day would mark 10 years since her passing. Later I learned my great-grandmother’s name was Mary Magdelene Bennett. I also learned quite a bit about her personal history as both a dominating woman in her early days and a very nurturing, loving woman later in life.

I also have discovered that identifying with Mary Magdelene has mended my deep love for Jesus Christ as I realize I am already forgiven for battling with the 7 demons of my own life. Since opening my heart to the truth that all is one, everything is energy, and realizing the teachings of Jesus and who he was/is has changed my life and brought music back into my body.

THANK YOU for both talking openly about Mary and inviting others to consider the truth about her. Thank you for sharing what you know and understand, and for choosing to surrender to Divine will. I believe you are light and love and truth. Blessings to you and yours.

    Hello Peta,
I found another medieval paiting of M.M.
Proving the story was not made up by Lincoln, Baigent and Leigh, nor by Dan Brown.
    http://www.perillos.com/gimenez_06.jpg
Here the link to the site where I found it,
    http://www.perillos.com/gimenez.html
It is great to see other people (not christian or religious) being “drawn in” by the powerfull story of M.M. and the Sang Real.
I hope you can do something with the paintings.
Together with the stainglassed window they make compelling evidence of a thruth long lost.
The thruth is stranger than fiction.
    Sincerely,
    Roland

Hi Peta: If this helps, and as you probably already know, there is a Gospel of Mary in
The Nag Hammadi Library. Unfortunately it is only half a page long. Apparently
the mother of the arab boys who found the books used Mary’s to light kitchen fires.
I was very upset when I discovered this thinking, “Hasn’t Mary been kicked around enough over the centuries?”
In one of the recently discovered gospels there is a passage when the disciples
actually gripe about how much time the saviour was spending with Mary: “Why do
you always talk to her and kiss her on the mouth?” (A paraphrase).
But Mary comes through anyway in the sacred book, “The Thunder Perfect Mind,”
which is Mary speaking as God. One of the most beautiful and profound passages I
have ever seen anywhere!” I hope this helps. Blessings along the way.

    Dear William,
I am just back from a pilgrimage in Sikkim, India. So apologies for my late reply. Yes, I know of The Perfect Thunder Mind. It just about says it all & helps us to accept the paradoxical nature of life. I shall re-read it & see what comes up for me in this great teaching. Thanks for reminding me & letting anyone else out there who reads this be directed to the book which can be found through googling.
    Bye for now, Peta
