What does it mean to be alignment with your higher self?

& What is this Higher Self?

Well, I have a little story to demonstrate what I believe it feels like to be in alignment with your Higher Self. But first, in short, your Higher Self, I feel is the aspect of you which is your unfailing guidance system. It knows. It knows all there is to know stretching back many lifetimes & connecting with future lifetimes. Of course with time being a human concept and Quantum science proving that in fact everything is happening AT ONCE your higher self just IS. It connects to Source, that is the Source of ALL THAT IS, & that means, should you be in alignment with your Higher Self your journey will unfold as smooth as a babies bottom even if all around you is in total chaos. Once in touch with your Higher Self, & working from this perspective,  you can navigate any water in any storm & here is where we come to my little story…

My Little Story

I had a job on a yacht, not just any old yacht, but a Superyacht. Eleven million pounds of flashy new state-of-the-art kit. I had got the job as cook for the crew and owners when they came to live on it. For 2 months we were in dock as it got fitted out. Once we got underway we chugged along the English Channel to Jersey. Stocked up, then left one night in a force 9 gale with some spaghetti on the go. All was well! The sea was was porridgy and rough, & the sky was inky black, after all this was the notorious Bay of Biscay! We had to don our wet weather gear and clip-on as soon as we went on the deck. My excitement turned to horror when I was asked to take the helm. It was a done deal that we all had to have a turn. It was this point when I said I had never sailed before. It was met with disbelief. How come? Why was I aboard? Well, the answer was that no-one had ever asked me if I could sail, only cook! And yes, I could cook. A member of crew thankfully stood close behind me calling the shots as the sea lashed into us, and 20 foot waves swooned from behind. He kindly guided my every move to ensure got though this challenge. I was in at the deep end, and I had to go along with the adage “Fake it till you make it.” I sailed close to the wind that night.

Feeling the force ~ On-course

When I was on course, even in this tumultuous water the boat ran smoothly. It took me a while to master though. I had to gauge the rolling surf, the winds, the current, and keep focused on standing my ground, & yield to the elements. The boat became like a racehorse at full speed, full of grace, power and beauty. When I even shifted my attention for a moment or didn’t adjust to the slight changes in the elements the whole craft shuddered from tip to tail. Only two to three inches off-course would create a disturbance that everyone felt and the boat felt like it would shake to bits. It was a very uncomfortable ride. Any more variance from uncomfortable & it would have been dangerous.

Adjusting To The Changes

When you are on-course in your everyday life you feel it. Life is smooth. You are aligned with your Higher Self. When situations around you change, & you do not make adjustments to this change it creates a similar situation to being at the helm of the yacht and not taking any notice of the expert whispering in your ear. You feel it, its uncomfortable, & those around you feel it. Adjustments in our lives need to be constantly made as variances in our lives change. This is where “tuning in” to your Higher Self is invaluable if you want to maintain an easier & enjoyable ride. As I listen to guidance from my Higher Self, I can surrender more, trust, and know I am making the right decisions even if it feels uncertain at first. This  leads to joy, fulfillment, and growth in alignment with, and in accordance to Divine Will.

A lot of us are in deep water right now.

I could say All of Humanity is. We are awakening to the understanding that not only do we have a Higher Self but the Planet as an entity does too. We are being invited to align with the Planet Earth in her Ascension journey which is felt and expressed as The Global Shift in Conciousness which many people are beginning to talk about. Collectively sitting in a place of un-change will lead to great discomfort & until we  work on connecting to our Higher Selves and in turn the Planets Higher Self we will find our personal journeys shudder and judder and crack us up until we find that place of grace, power, and beauty aligned.

A Call to Align

All I can advise is if you are reading these words and not yet working for the greater good of humanity, aligned with your Higher Self, then make it happen. You will know in your heart of hearts your truth. Its either tapping on your shoulder, or whacking you round the face. It is your responsibility to steer your way through troubled water if that is what you are experiencing while this shift is underway with as much grace as you can muster. If you have no idea what I am talking about, then either you are doing just fine & simply need to maintain your course or you are in denial, & its worth doing some soul searching. If you are feeling a little “sea-sick” then maybe take time to keep checking this blog for a little light entertainment and lots of wisdom to see you through.
